ONE OF CANADA’S LARGEST GOLF FLEETS GOES CANADIAN
Predator Ridge Resort and Simolo Customs Ltd. are proud to announce a historic partnership that represents a major milestone for both the Okanagan Valley and Canada’s electric vehicle industry.
Predator Ridge, home to one of the largest single-site golf cart fleets in Canada, will become the first golf resort in the country to have its entire fleet of 200 carts provided by a Canadian manufacturer. That manufacturer, Vernon-based Simolo Customs, is Canada’s only Transport Canada-compliant producer of street-legal Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs).
While the fleet supplied to Predator Ridge will consist of golf course-dedicated vehicles, the collaboration goes far beyond the fairways. For the first time in Canada, a manufacturer will establish permanent sales and service operations directly within a resort community.
A CANADIAN FIRST
This collaboration represents several industry firsts:
One of the largest golf cart fleets in Canada is now proudly Canadian-made.
The first golf resort to be fully supplied by a Canadian manufacturer.
The first time a manufacturer will establish on-site sales and service operations within a resort.

A GAME-CHANGER FOR RESIDENTS
For Predator Ridge residents, this partnership is about much more than golf - it’s about embracing greener mobility and convenience. Having Simolo Customs establish on-site sales and service means that residents will, for the first time, have direct factory access to purchase and maintain their vehicles right in their own community.
This shift reduces the need for traditional vehicles within the resort, enhancing roadway safety, lowering emissions, and supporting Predator Ridge’s vision for a more sustainable neighbourhood.
ON-SITE PURCHASING – Residents can explore and purchase Simolo Customs vehicles without leaving Predator Ridge, cutting unnecessary travel.
FACTORY-BACKED SERVICE – Maintenance, parts, and support available just steps from home, reducing the environmental impact of service logistics
COMMUNITY INTEGRATION – With both golf-dedicated and Lifestyle Vehicles available, residents can choose options that align with their eco-friendly lifestyle - whether for the course, the community, or the street.
“As a local company that has already earned the trust of so many of our residents through their quality and service, partnering with Simolo Customs is a natural fit. The safety of our residents, members, and guests is always paramount, and with Simolo Customs delivering the first certified LSVs in Canada, the decision was an easy one. This collaboration not only supports local jobs and growth, but also reflects our ongoing commitment to doing things differently at Predator Ridge - in this case, offering a product and scale of innovation that hasn’t been seen yet in Canada.” — Rod Cochrane, General Manager, Predator Ridge Resort.
DRIVING LOCAL IMPACT IN OUR COMMUNITY
This partnership has also garnered recognition from provincial leaders who see it as an example of how local collaboration strengthens both communities and the economy.
“Buy BC is about so much more than choosing local products at the grocery stores, it’s about standing with one another, creating good jobs, and keeping our communities strong. That’s exactly what’s happening here in Vernon. Predator Ridge’s partnership with Vernon’s Simolo Customs doesn’t just support a local company, it fuels our economy, provides excellent jobs for people right here at home, and shows what’s possible when we choose to lift each other up. I’m so proud to see this kind of collaboration in action and investment made to support our community. Together, we’re proving that when we invest in local, we invest in a stronger British Columbia.” - Vernon-Lumby MLA Harwinder Sandhu
Her remarks underscore how this collaboration is not just a milestone for Predator Ridge and Simolo Customs, but also a model for how local partnerships can drive meaningful change across British Columbia.
Local leaders are also recognizing the significance of this investment for Vernon and the Okanagan economy.
“This is a great example of what’s possible when we invest in local solutions that create jobs, lower emissions, and improve quality of life. It’s exciting to see Vernon businesses leading the way in sustainable transportation, and this partnership reflects the kind of forward-thinking development that supports our vision for a higher quality, resilient and connected community.”
— Victor Cumming, Mayor of Vernon
Together, these voices reinforce the importance of this partnership not just for Predator Ridge and Simolo Customs, but for the broader Vernon community and the region’s long-term economic vitality.

MORE THAN GOLF
The vehicles being introduced to Predator Ridge Resort at the start of the 2026 season are designed for course use - but Simolo Customs is also Canada’s only manufacturer of street-legal Lifestyle Vehicles. Fully compliant with Transport Canada regulations, these LSVs are legal to drive on approved public roads and can travel at speeds up to 40 km/h.
This makes them a practical, low-emission alternative for community and neighbourhood use. With customizable features such as bike racks, storage options, and passenger seating, LSVs are built to support a wide range of activities and lifestyles - from trail riding, to family outings, and connecting to the amenities that make resort living so unique - all while reducing the environmental footprint of daily transportation around the community.
By introducing these vehicles, Predator Ridge is making it easier and more convenient for residents to consider LSVs as an alternative to traditional cars. Choosing LSVs has the potential to reduce the number of full-sized vehicles on resort roads - helping create safer streets and a cleaner, greener community.

By choosing Simolo Customs, Predator Ridge is helping to raise national awareness for LSVs as the future of Canadian resort and community living.
“This is an incredible milestone for both Predator Ridge and Canadian manufacturing. While this fleet is golf-specific, Predator Ridge is helping us shine a spotlight on the broader Lifestyle Vehicle movement in Canada. And for residents, having a manufacturer on-site for both sales and service is a level of support that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else.” - Jeffery Holomis - CEO of Simolo Customs
DRIVING AWARENESS OF THE LSV LIFESTYLE
While Low-Speed Vehicles are common in parts of the U.S., they are still emerging in Canada. Predator Ridge’s partnership with Simolo Customs will help change that. By featuring Simolo Customs’ vehicles at the resort - not just on the course, but through dedicated homeowner sales and service - Predator Ridge is leading the way in showing Canadians how LSVs can be a sustainable part of everyday life.
This partnership demonstrates that Lifestyle Vehicles are not limited to golf - they are adaptable, eco-friendly, and ideal for gated resorts, neighbourhoods, urban centres, and commercial use.
SHAPING THE FUTURE OF RESORT AND COMMUNITY LIVING
The Predator Ridge – Simolo Customs partnership is about more than a fleet - it’s about inspiring change across Canada. Together, these two leaders are creating a model that other resorts and communities can follow: supporting local jobs, advancing Canadian-made EVs, and showcasing a future where Lifestyle Vehicles are a practical, accessible part of daily life.
By reducing the need for traditional cars, enhancing the safety of our roadways, and making Predator Ridge an even greener community, this partnership is setting the standard for sustainable resort living.
